Japan has long been ahead of the curve for technology, and the privatization of its high speed internet providers is a logical move for the world’s second-largest economy. Because most of the old copper telephone wiring was destroyed in World War II bombing, Japan’s DSL infrastructure is relatively new and progressive. Additionally, a densely-populated area and huge workforce means that more and more Japanese companies are looking into telecommuting solutions for their employees.
