Today I was looking out my kitchen window and noticed the birds flocking and the leaves turning bright colors on my ash and maple trees. A pretty Fall site for sure! I could not help but think about how all too soon the temperature will drop and even if the calendar does not say it’s winter yet, it will feel like it here.
I’m not a big fan of winter to be perfectly honest. I mean, sure I like a pretty snow as much as anyone but the cold, the wind and the shortened hours of sunshine just bug me. However, before my winter angst sets in I must admit that I do love the holidays – both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love buying Christmas gifts when I know what my ‘to buy for’ list wants.
Recently I’ve been increasing the number of personalized gifts I’ve been getting. It seems like everyone just loves them. And why not? Everyone loves seeing their name and/or their initials on a gift. It’s like it was made just for them.

The painted earrings here are really in a class all their own; I’ve never seen anything quite like them! From a brilliant blue butterfly drop earring with a hint of a sparkle, to multi-colored cat earrings. What a selection of colorful enamel earring choices! My favorites to choose from were the black and tan dachshund earrings. But what did I end up purchasing? A pair of pink flamingos!
