Adding Post Caps to my Garden Area

This season I plan to make some additions to my garden. Every year I add some new plants or a trellis, but this year I am going for an addition that really makes a statement. I am going to add 6″x6″ post caps to my privacy fence and deck. I have seen these products used in gardening and decorating magazines. I really like the finished look they give the garden. Many styles come smaller than 6″x6″ as well, but that’s the size that will fit my posts. I really want to make a statement and want the post caps to be visible from the house.

One of the toughest decisions to make was what material should the post caps be made. After thinking about it for several days, I have decided to use copper post caps. I really like the look of copper when it is new. The decorative styles offered in copper post caps really appeal to me. I am excited to see the copper age in the garden atmosphere. It will turn that interesting color of green known as patina over time.
