Expressive Manatee Earrings

Some people think manatees are ugly beasts. Yes, I’ve heard that said, and in an encyclopedia about animals, no less! So why would you want a dangly pair of manatee earrings? How about because they’re one of the sweetest creatures on God’s green earth? I have this thing about all sea mammals, but to me, manatees are the most adorable of them all. When I went shopping for some manatee earrings recently this pair just struck me. For overall cuteness and likability, I thought they were the best.

But art is a funny thing. What I love isn’t necessarily what you’re going to love. And in the world of jewelry, this is even more apparent. Handcrafted sterling silver earrings are all over the place, but when I find a manufacturer who comes up with something I really like, I tend to stay with them. Maybe I’m just old fashioned (some would say that’s a euphemism for something far more sinister) but I know what I like and that does make it easy for me to shop. Besides, as long as I find a pair of dangly earrings I like, I’m happy- even if it is a gift for someone else!
