Japanese Internet Providers
Posted by adminHigh speed internet is not limited to Western cultures – not by a long shot. Japan has long been ahead of the curve for technology, and the privatization of its high speed internet providers is a logical move for the world’s second-largest economy. Because most of the old copper telephone wiring was destroyed in World War II bombing, Japan’s DSL infrastructure is relatively new and progressive. Additionally, a densely-populated area and huge workforce means that more and more Japanese companies are looking into telecommuting solutions for their employees. For these reasons, high speed internet in Japan is even more efficient than current American standards.
With broadband ISPs in Japan leading the industry, American DSL providers like AT&T and Verizon are looking to the Japanese technology for strategies and expertise. The goal is to bring that same quality of service to the United States. Currently, many American ISPs offer many different tiers of high speed internet service based on minimum upload and download speeds. These same ISPs often bundle other services like home telephone lines and cable television into multimedia and entertainment packages. By shopping online for an ISP, American consumers can always locate the plan that offers the most value for their individual needs.
